The recently opened 1 Hotel Hanalei Bay, is designed in the style known as “biophilic,” meaning that it brings structures more in harmony with their natural environments. With any 1 Hotel property, nature and decadent luxury are the brand’s CEO. The resort — the brand’s first in its otherwise urban hotel portfolio — offers Kaua’i’s deepest dive into one’s own wellness journey. San Francisco-based Nicole Hollis collaborated on this design ethos, which is beachy, tropical and plushly comfortable.
